Open Source Campus Ambassador Program

OpenSource Campus Ambassador India is an initiative to promote the adoption of Open Source in Indian educational institutes. Open Source technologies have seen a widespread growth and are being widely adopted by the provate as well as the Government agencies. Government of india has recently announced it's strong support for Open Source first policy which mandates the use of Open Source over propierty software, Adopting Open Source will give students an access to a wider knowledge spectrum and freedom to learn and innovate.

  • Drupal Mumbai Meetup Group 

Drupal Mumbai meetup Group

Rachit founded Drupal Mumbai in 2011. It is an interest group of Drupal and Open Source web  enthusiasts and offers an open platform to learn, share and collaborate on latest Open Source web trends. Drupal is a very popular Open Source CMS software and has the largest community with members spread across the globe. Drupal Mumbai was formed on the same grounds to spread Drupal and Open Source Knowledge. Drupal Mumbai's primary purpose is to build and foster a strong community of Drupal and open source contributors in and around the Mumbai region. Drupal Mumbai  conducts meetups , knowledge session, code sprints, Annual Drupal Camp etc. and invites Drupal enthusiasts, newbies, designers and hackers, businesses and marketers to join  It has conducted some very large tech camps, The last DrupalCamp organised by Drupal Mumbai had 650+ attendees - http://2015.drupalmumbai.org/  2014.drupalmumbai.org . Drupal Mumbai community has also played a very active role in organizing DrupalCon Asia 2016. 

 

Over the last 6 years, Drupal Mumbai has grown from 5 members to 1000+ Members community. Rachit not only founded this interest group but also played a key catalyst in  conceptualising and structuring the group. He together with other key contributors, have helped shape Drupal Mumbai as one of the most active and vibrant technical community across the globe.   • Drupal Campus Ambassador Program 

DrupalCAP

Drupal campus ambassador programme(DCAP) is an educational initiative based on the lines of “Open Source Ambassadors”  aims to introduce Drupal to universities and engineering college across the globe by creating a network of Drupal Campus ambassadors across different universities and engineering colleges of India.

 

Rachit ideated this concept in 2012 after realising the problems with Drupal Skills availability amidst high demand of Drupal technology by enterprises. Solution also sought to provide a good career opportunity to student and make them aware of Open Source. Program is currently running actively  

  • Drupal Mumbai NGO Connect 

Drupal Mumbai NGO connect is a commmunity initiative which provides the technology support to NGOs by oferring to help build and maintain their web infrastructure in Drupal.

  • Spoken Tutorials  - FOSSE MHRD Initiative 

FOSSEE

The Spoken Tutorial project is the initiative of the ‘Talk to a Teacher’ activity of the National Mission on Education through Information and Communication Technology (ICT), launched by the Ministry of Human Resources and Development, Government of India. The use of spoken tutorials to popularize software development and its use will be coordinated through this website. (The Spoken Tutorial project is being developed by IIT Bombay for MHRD, Government of India)

  • Misuse Of My Tax 

Misuseofmytax.info is an non profit initiative to bring the grievences of the public to the concerned governemt / non government agencies. This platform intends to use technology tools as a means to collect information and generate analytics and present the analytics reports to Media , Non Proftis and Government to take action on the civic issues.

 

  • Drupal Mumbai

Drupal Mumbai started back in 2011 as the Drupal Mumbai Meetup Group (DMMG), with an objective to revive and strengthen the local Drupal community in Mumbai. Since then over 700 members have joined the group and we have conducted more than 70 community events. Drupal Mumbai's primary purpose is to build and foster a strong community of Drupal and open source contributors in and around the Mumbai region. We invite and welcome Drupal enthusiasts, newbies, designers and hackers, businesses and marketers to join us. We have conducted some very large camps, out last camp had 650+ attendees - http://2015.drupalmumbai.org/  2014.drupalmumbai.org . Drupal Mumbai community has played a very active role in organizing DrupalCon Asia 2016.
